Shankar has mostly changed the North Indian scences which we saw in "3 IDIOTS" and has a changed alot for the Tamil Audiences. Sorces says that It has more changes and it is not a line-by-line from his original movie.
For example, Some of the scenes were shot in a college in western Tamil Nadu, which one could not find in "3 Idiots". And new characters have been in the script.
