Friday Specials!

A study recently revealed that working people (both men and women) are the most happiest on Friday – the reason being quite evident – two days of bliss and being with family, friends or just doing what you like! So what is up this Friday? We have some good news for you with more than a couple of flicks that you can watch with a bucket of pop corn for company.

You can met Rick (Owen Wilson) and Fred (Jason Sudeikis). It is the story of two friends who are close pals and who have a lot in common including the fact that they have been married for many years. But when the guys begin to show restlessness at home their wives grant them a “hall pass” to freedom, for reviving their marriage. The men can go where they want and do what they like with no interference whatsoever from their spouses.

For the guys it is almost like a dream come true – but not before they realize that their expectations of the bachelor life are completely and hilariously out of sync with reality. The film is directed by Bobby Farrelly and Peter Farrelly. It runs for an hour and a half and comes with an R rating.

Next on the cards is a 3D thriller starring Nicolas Cage, a hardened felon who has broken out for one last chance at redemption. Hell bent on stopping a vicious cult of fanatics who murdered his daughter, he has three days to stop them before they sacrifice his infant granddaughter beneath a full moon. He's joined by Piper, a young sexy-smart waitress who has her own intentions for partnering with Nic. Now they are also targeted by an enigmatic killer who calls himself “The Accountant” and Milton and Piper must avenge his murdered daughter, and save his granddaughter before his last chance at redemption is revoked.

Directed by Patrick Lussier this one and a half hour long film comes out with an R tag and also has Amber Heard, William Fichtner, Billy Burke and David Morse in lead roles.

If hi-tech racy films are not your type then get ready for this drama. The synopsis of the film goes like this. When Mac McDonald loses his son in an accident, years of bitterness and pain erodes his love for his family and leaves him angry with God ... and everyone else. Can Mac and his new patrol partner, Sgt. Sam Wright, somehow join forces to help one another when it's impossible to look past their differences?

The Grace Card is directed by David G. Evans and runs for a little more than an hour and a half. The film sees Michael Joiner, Mike Higgenbottom, Louis Gossett Jr. Cindy Hodge and Joy Parmer Moore in the lead.

So have fun and have a great weekend. We come back with more releases next and also give you a gist how the new releases have fared!
